We collaborate and listen to help you resolve it!
**My Background and Approach**
I received my Masters in marriage and family therapy at the University of Alabama, interning with the Capstone Family Therapy Clinic and as a behavior health specialist for the Gordo Elementary & High Schools. I welcome individuals, couples, and families of all ages and walks of life to an inclusive, safe atmosphere where they can be heard and validated. As a therapist it is my mission to meet you where you are at in life and help you develop the skills needed to face and conquer excess stress, unresolved tension, grief, relationship issues, or other personal goals.
Your relationships matter. By viewing your symptoms within the context of your interactions and relationships, I help you find patterns of behavior, the causes of behavior, and what can be done to improve your situation. In addition to a taking a holistic view and incorporating enjoyable activities that foster engagement and progress in therapy, I collaborate with you (as well as your other care professionals) to help you achieve personal well-being and a healthy life.
**My Personal Beliefs and Interests**
Just like physical health services are essential, so too are mental health services: our brains are by the same token part of our physical form as much as any other part of our bodies. One of the best ways to aid you on your path to a healthier life is to help you feel empowered and engaged in your treatment, which I accomplish by collaborating with you to find activities and treatment that you connect with in your daily life.
